Here are some of my pictures of the Wii launch in England,
Every shop i went to that had taken pre-orders didn't receive as much stock as they were promised. The Gamestation shop I pre-ordered at only received 30 units, even though they were told 50 units and told me possibly 100 units, hence my pre-order with them. sadly i was number 97 so I knew my chances were slim.

At about 10:30 last night i headed over to some of the games shops to see if there were any ques forming. There weren't, A security guard asked my to leave the shopping center so I asked him where people are queuing up for the Wii. He said they will have to wait out side.  Every one with a Pre-order delivered probably knew this already and so wouldn't waste time waiting out in the cold.

I headed over to 24 hour ASDA (now owned by WALMART) were i thought no one would bother look, and perhaps they would put some out on the shelves at midnight, at which point I would stroll up and pick up a Wii.

I arrived at about 11:00, and over by the games counter there was already a que, I got the same message they were giving to every one else, "There are only 15 Wii's and they are already taken."

I decided to stay and take photos, from talking to the people in line, it turned out that Mr. 15th had been there for about 5 hours, so i was way off. We played Super Mario brothers and Mario kart for a bit until at 11:45, a bottle of Champagne came out from Mr. 13th and a stack of plastic cups.

I watched all 15 purchases and was surprised at the mix of people. Secretly i hoped for a declined card, I told people I was waiting incase someone had a heart attack, they all laughed, I wasn't joking.

What a lovely mix of people.

I stepped off a train on a lonely dawn, back into the town where i was born.

Well City really. A couple of weeks ago I stayed in a B&B in south London. Every day I went into central London and tried a different place to eat. mostly Japanese places, but I also tried Korean, and it was fantastic! Boy they really know what they are doing when it comes to food. as usual I'll just do a Picture dump, Oh Yeah and while I was there I got a DS lite  Every where had sold out of the black DS lite, and most of the good games, but i managed to get a white DS lite and Animal Crossing. I even managed to get them bundled together by pretending I didn't really want one, and let the assistant sell it to me.

"Well maybe... I'll buy one if I can get Animal Crossing thrown in" said I.

"Sure" said he.

"Sucker, I wanted one all along" Thought I.

Tomoko and Karin met up with me and we went to Yoisho, the most authentic Japanese place in London, according to Japanese guide books.

And finally on the weekend Ewelina came down with her brother and Claire and we met Tomochan and Karin on hampsted heath for an open air concert.

"MASTA!"

Put it this way; it wasn't chalky.

DS lite! Score! The shop assistant didn't want to be in the picture..

Buta Bara Kimchi don @Yoisho

Korea I salute you! notice the dangerous proximity of the DS to the BBQ...

Tomochan and Karin are overwhelmed by choice.

Ryoshi don for me!

An then finally some Italian on saturday night with the gang. Taken at about midnight in Golders Green.
